Self taught Estee van Aswegen, entered her first cheese making competition… and came away as South African Champion.
This artisanal goats cheese range of 8 types, includes Feta, Camembert, Brie, Chevre and Halloumi.
In both 2018 and 2019, she has won the top prize in the country for her Vleidermous cheese, a rich, soft, creamy and ashed cheese.
Her Camembert came second in the country. She has been making cheese for just 3 years!
Visit the farm’s deli-esque cafe. It is just 10 mins from Clarens.
From here they sell their cheese as well as farm made condiments.
Taste these lovely cheeses for yourselves. You can try their cheese and wine pairing too.
Cheesy eats including cheese platters with local condiments can be enjoyed out in the grounds or in the cafe.
There is a choice of coffees, farm made lemonade and ginger beer. They also have good cheesecake and French crepes.
