The Hidden Forest Wildlife Sanctuary, sister sanctuary to Monkeyland, Garden Route, is the newest addition to the award-winning South African Animal Sanctuary Alliance (SAASA).
It is the largest free-roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary in Africa.
We take our visitors on wildlife tours. Your tour starts at reception with a short drive on a safari vehicle to our 23-hectare hidden forest. From there, you will be taken on a guided walking tour during which your guide will help you look for the multiple species of free-roaming primates.

Wildlife and primates include capuchin monkeys, ringtail and black-and-white ruffed lemurs, buff-cheeked gibbon, squirrel monkeys, black howler monkeys, spider monkeys, bushbuck, Natal duiker and other wildlife in their forest home.
Learn about their unique behaviours and characteristics and the threats and challenges they face both in the wild, and in captivity.
Guided tours are offered in English and isiZulu and depart from reception every 15 minutes.

There is a souvenir shop and pizza restaurant at the reception area as well as a children’s jungle gym and a state of the art environmental cinema.
