Situated in the beautiful Champagne Valley, are the totally unique Inkunzi Cave and Zulu Hut.
Rock paintings and carvings on the walls give an all African experience. To complete this African experience, is our very special squatter shack, Diddly Squat!
Relax with sundowners in the attached rock pools as you take in the stunning views of Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak.
Inkunzi Cave was built as a tribute to the first peoples of South Africa, the San. It has a rock finish both inside and out, a full bathroom with luxurious rock bath, a separate toilet and rock shower. Genuine San artifacts decorate the walls. Fully equipped kitchen, DSTV, heater, fans, outside braai etc. ensure your comfort. The bedroom has a double bed. There is also a double sleeper couch in the lounge/kitchen area. The large rock swimming pool is not fenced, so is not suitable for families with toddlers.
The Zulu Hut has a rock finish and is fully equipped for self-catering. It also has DSTV, heater, air conditioner, small plunge pool and outside braai. It has a bedroom with double bed, a double sleeper couch in the lounge/kitchen area, and a single bed suspended from the roof. Decorated with original Zulu art and beadwork.
Diddly Squat is an “up-market” Eco Abode for 2 adults. Sunken into the ground, with windows at ground level providing an uninterrupted view of the mountain. A “bedsit” with comfortable double bed, shower and toilet. Solar powered except for one electrical plug point. Fully equipped for self-catering with an easy to use wood stove, single plate gas cooker and gas fridge. Great value with air conditioner and the wood stove heater.
