For the last 35 years, I have been involved in making, teaching and assessing artwork. I have taught and examined fine art in secondary and tertiary institutions and have juried textile shows, video presentations and photography. I founded Garret Artists, a drawing based workshop for advanced students and teachers in 1988. These classes are ongoing in Durban and my workshops have been held country wide.
I am presently teaching Creative Development to students at Vega. I was a co-founder of Fibreworks in 1998, a group of South African fibre/textile artists who have exhibited nationally and abroad. Some of my work features in public and private collections in South Africa and overseas.
