I left the corporate environment in 2012 to concentrate on art making and relocated from Johannesburg to Cape Town in 2016.
Although mainly a painter (oils), I am a printmaker too. I received an Honours (Fine Art) from Michaelis (2021) and have works in private international and local collections.

The finer textures of nature have always intrigued me – strata within rock, plants desiccating and creating shadows, the way water moves.
I am interested in the aesthetic of nature, which has been deeply influential throughout my life.
In a coastal landscape where the sea scours, encroaches and flows onto the land, nothing is fixed or completely solid, there is reference to the metaphoric ebb and flow of life.
My practice is a way of finding my equilibrium within this space of change. I prefer to hone in on a small, interesting aspect of a place I am in, revealed to me in the still frame of a photograph that I have taken, which I may use as initial reference but then let the work develop.
Call ahead so we can find a time to suit both of us.
