The accommodation is built from the surrounding sandstone, has full glass and a private verandah on the gorge facing side. You have complete privacy but are just a short walk from the spa, library area and the well stocked cellar. Food is definitely one of the reasons to stay. It is superb with wonderful aromatic infusions. Many ingredients are home grown and fare is seasonal. Chef Alicia Giliomee is a master of her craft.
Activities on the game farm include walking, MTB, visiting their San Rock Art cave, game drives or relaxing in the infinity pool. Many types of antelope including the rare oribi, leopard, black backed jackal, lynx, wildebeest, zebra, bush pig and the Samango monkey can be seen. It is a birding haven with over 255 species including fish, martial and crowned eagle, Cape vultures in a nearby colony, trumpeter and the endangered ground hornbill. The lodge caters for keen birders.
