This was the first well established dive group concerned with both the exploration and preservation of the incredible Aliwal Shoal. As one of the first on this premium site, we established the top dive spots used today. Our knowledge of Aliwal Shoal means you will get to see areas that no other dive company uses.
African Watersports is known as the home of the Shark Whisperer, Walter. His knowledge and understanding of these fascinating predators gives this dive group a distinct edge. We also dive with Nile Crocodiles in Botswana.

As the first group to invite divers to the Sardine Run, we know how to give you the experience of a lifetime as we follow the sardines with an incredible mix of predators chasing them as they form bait balls and then free swim, again and again. We are based in the gorgeous Wild Coast for the period of the Sardine Run. So you have a wonderful travel as well as diving experience.

Comfortable accommodation is offered for divers and their companions at our Umkomaas base and Dive Centre, in Seascapes with a 2 bedroom cottage or 2 bed guest suite. The lovely shared veranda has great sea views and a plunge pool. There is also a shared swimming pool in the garden.
