AmmaZulu African Palace is a unique luxury lodge on the edge of the Kloof Gorge and Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. A truly spectacular venue for you to unwind and experience a special stay in the elaborately crafted and decorated walkways, halls and bedrooms using bead work and African artifacts.
There are just 10 very well appointed bedrooms in this 5 star adults only Guesthouse. The rooms are spacious and beautifully individually decorated, including wall hangings, mini fridges which can be stocked on request, tea/coffee stations and home made biscuits, plus flat screen TVs with DSTV. All are en-suite with lovely full bathrooms. Each has a verandah opening onto the garden or trees. The Presidential Suite’s verandah overlooks the stunning gorge.
You can walk around enjoying the art and craft collection, dip in the pool or merely lounge on one of the many decks overlooking the beautiful natural surroundings with zebra grazing a few meters away in the reserve. The outdoor splash pool overlooks the gorge. Further: Free WiFi throughout, on secure site parking and a charged airport shuttle can be pre- arranged.
All this and more awaits you, a mere 20 minutes drive from Durban. This area has some excellent restaurants and there is a lot to do.
There are function facilities for 20 – 60 people. The venue makes a perfect space for an intimate wedding.
Tour and Tea.
For a special morning out, take a tour plus tea/coffee and nibbles, through the Palace with a minimum of 10 friends. R120 pp and this is donated to charity. Alternately you can view the ground floor for R50pp without the tour and tea. Any visit is by prior appointment only.
