Ballots is an area that is close enough to George for shopping but far enough away that consciousness drifts away from city life to indulge itself in a place of natural and unique beauty. Accessed on a magical, narrow road that crosses two rivers and a railway line, twists its way from the busy N2 highway all the way to the edge of the sea. There is a small beach but not for swimming. Located in the last remaining area of natural fynbos and forest along the coastal cliffs; large enough to loose oneself in both figuratively as well as physically!
