De Hoop Farm is the home of Ventersberg Stables. We have offered guided horse trail experiences in the mountains and farmland surrounding the village of Fouriesburg, near Clarens, for more than 22 years.
A family business with a small team of experienced local guides, we also offer hiking and mountain biking trails, 4×4 trails, canoeing, and camping.
All our routes are circular, with breath-taking views of the Maluti, Rooiberg and Witteberg mountain ranges. The longer routes include a viewing of San paintings and a spell-binding stretch of forest along the Klein Caledon River.

We offer customized, guided horse riding experiences in the scenic Brandwater Basin, surrounded by mountain ranges.

Circular routes (1-4 hours and day trips)
Sundowner and moonlight rides (2 hours)
Overnight trails.
We have stabling facilities for horse owners
Both novices and more experienced riders are welcome. We provide hard hats.
