On the beautiful Delaire Graff Wine Estate, you will find the ultimate in South African luxury. Proudly Relais and Chateau.

Experience unparalleled luxury and complete privacy at each of our lodges, exquisite sanctuaries with private gardens, plunge pools and views that stretch across our vineyards, extending to the mountain ranges on the horizon.

Set in rolling indigenous gardens with panoramic views, the elegantly crafted interiors are complemented by some of Africa’s finest artists’ work. Enjoy concierge services, guided Estate and Art Tours.

***

A private wine-tasting lounge, exclusively for Lodge guests, provides an opportunity to taste an exceptional collection of wines grown and crafted on the Estate, surrounded by hand-carved timber walls. In contrast, a sensational piece of deep red marble provides the ideal place around which to congregate.

Interior architecture is simple in colour yet rich in texture to perfectly complement Laurence Graff’s extensive collection of African art. Warm, comforting golden oranges, yellows, greens and natural textures reference the African sky, the indigenous gardens and vineyards and the imposing Stellenbosch Valley below. African motifs are paired with European touches. Talented local makers, artisans and artists, work includes chiselled woods, stone and copper –as well as handwoven textiles. The result is exceptional.

All lodges have an en-suite bedroom with king-size bed, full marble bathroom including a rain shower and a separate WC. Each has a living room with flat screen television and a Bose personal music station.

Each  has private terrace and expansive wet bar alongside the heated plunge pool. There is air-conditioning, WiFi and an in-room safe plus coffee and tea making facilities.

The attention to detail includes a comprehensive pillow menu to ensure a superb night’s sleep, whether you prefer classic down, memory foam or anything in-between.

Superior Lodges

Opening on to private decks and heated plunge pools, our 76 m² Superior Lodges each offer a living room and one bedroom.

Ideal for families or couples travelling together, Superior Lodges can be interconnected.

Garden Lodges

Overlooking private leafy gardens that are in bloom every day of the year, each of our tranquil 70 m² Deluxe Lodges offers an en-suite bedroom, serene living room and private terrace with a heated plunge pool.

Luxury Lodges

Our 70 m² Luxury Lodges each offer their own private plunge pool, accessed via an en-suite bedroom and living room, with views of the vineyard over the Superior Lodge rooflines, backdropped by Simonsberg Mountain. Follow a winding pathway through honeysuckle and hibiscus to your Luxury Lodge.

Presidential Lodges

The en-suite two-bedroom, 130 m² Presidential Lodge 1 offers a central living area with a log fireplace and large dining area, kitchen, dressing room, private 12 m heated pool and views across the vineyards towards Table Mountain. Elegant, expansive and utterly private.

Upon arrival, lobby floors feature honed Crema Marfil marble with polished Marron Imperial inlays. Within the living spaces, dark timber floors are accented by burnt orange and yellow detailing, such as cushions and hand-knotted silk and wool rugs. Hand-carved display tables, stools, and custom furniture pieces, including a vast dining table surrounded by upholstered dining chairs, take centre stage in the living spaces, beautifully complemented by custom alabaster scones. Bedrooms feature spattered fabrics inspired by traditional South African prints. A beautifully contemporary retreat.

The Owner’s Villa

Laurence Graff’s private retreat, this two-level, four-bedroom, 660 m² architectural masterpiece offers a 14 m heated infinity pool, expansive outdoor living and dining areas, and views over Stellenbosch Valley towards Table Mountain.

One of the most exclusive private residences in Southern Africa, every facet has been designed to provide guests with the ultimate Cape Winelands experience. Seamlessly integrating an incredible selection of art from Laurence Graff’s personal collection, this is a masterclass in luxury living, offering complete peace and privacy.
