Handcrafted leather footwear & accessories, made locally for 30 years!

Groundcover is a well established brand with a loyal following.

We have been making leather footwear & accessories for 30 years and are well know for our outstanding craftsmanship

and the durability of our products. All components are locally sources except for the Italian leather soles.

The footwear range includes infants to adults, casual and smart wear for men and women.

Clothing and accessories are made from leather and Nguni skin.

There are some lovely decor pieces made with Nguni skin, such as cushions, rugs and ottomans.

Groundcover plays a progressive role in the lives of staff by actively supporting their children’s extra mural activities.

Supporting the local community is an important responsibility. For example, all lacing of shoes is sent out to the community to so in situ.

Pop into our farm in Curry’s Post set in beautiful surroundings, and visit our refurbished 100 year old shop to see how our shoes are made.

A wonderful bronze sculpture of the fairy tale “The elves and The shoemaker” by Peter Hall, stands outside.
