The thatched main lodge is decorated with antiques, comfortable furniture and open fireplaces. An outdoor gazebo area covered with a stretch tent, is ideal for relaxing, Hunter’s afternoon tea treats, drinks and informal suppers.
Suites are discrete cottages surrounded by lush manicured gardens and trees.
All have king sized beds, writing desks, comfortable seating for relaxing, air conditioning, ceiling fan, underfloor heating as well as fireplace, safe and television. Most have both bath and shower in the large bathrooms. Suites open onto their own terrace leading into the garden, which is fragrant at some times of the year and filled with bird calls.
A few have their own plunge pools.

Breakfasts with extensive buffet plus hot meals, are in the sunny conservatory, which monkeys sometimes clamber over.
Hunter’s welcomes families. Children enjoy a play area with climbing frame, sandpit and paddling pool plus the ‘Cub House’, supervised by trained staff, has toys, games, books and videos..

Everything you need is on site; a gym, a well stocked library, two gourmet restaurants for candle lit dinners, a wine cellar with some of the Cape’s finest, access to spa treatments, a large swimming pool and lovely walks through the extensive private grounds. Exceptionally good staff are very helpful.
It is also a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Garden Route with beaches just 8 mins away.
