The Manor House is a lovingly restored, luxurious Cape Dutch homestead resting under ancient oak trees and surrounded by acres of spectacular gardens.

La Cotte Farm dates back to 1698 when the first of eleven Huguenot Farms was granted to French immigrants fleeing religious persecution.

Ideally situated a short walk from the bustle of charming Franschoek, yet worlds away on a peaceful wine farm. Views are majestic and the gardens, picturesque.

This gracious home has undergone several renovations over the last three and a half centuries and one can see remnants of Cape Dutch to Victorian as well as Georgian architecture.

It is in this beautiful building with its spectacular interiors and high ceilings that heritage and beauty are brought together.

Gorgeous country living decor creates a stylish relaxed environment. Rich fabrics with bold colour and splashes of coral to match a courtyard of dusky red Bouganvilla against whitewashed walls.

Book into one of the elegantly proportioned guest bedrooms with their high ceilings, French doors and private terraces, or take the two-bedroom Pool House with its own kitchen, living room and private veranda. The classic bathrooms have black and white marble floors, free-standing baths and generous walk-in showers.

Choose a suite with a view of the lovely pool area or of the mountains.

An exquisite walled pool garden has covered areas and sun space to sit or recline comfortably.

The La Cotte Farm Heritage Restaurant is here. The deep veranda with wicker chairs and generously padded cushions gives a memorable dining experience of a delicious farm breakfast or a lazy lunch while gazing across the valley to the mountains.

On Friday and Saturday evenings enjoy a drink in the quirky bar.
