Lynn and Eddie watched as many people around their farm lost their means to earning a living during the Covid lockdowns. Lidgetton Crafters Guild was begun as an upliftment group for their local community. This grew from 5 elderly ladies or Gogos learning how to crochet and sew, to what it is today with over 30 crafters.
They were fortunate to receive donations of sewing and knitting machines, as well as a complete pottery with kiln. A loom also arrived. A woodwork studio has started recently. So they taught what they could and appealed to others to assist when they could not. 3 years later and the crafters are each independent and it is a true guild where their creativity genuinely empowers and uplifts. Lyn and Eddie provide free premises and guide and encourage.
The work is all hand made. There is a varied choice with baby and children’s clothes, aprons, bead work, rugs, traditional pots as well as innovative ceramic pieces. The quilts are lovely. Pop in and browse as the work changes constantly.
Open all public holidays, except Christmas.
