Louise is currently Academic Leader of the Centre for Visual Art (CVA), UKZN and where she completed a practice-led (PLR) PhD in 2013 and a Masters in Fine Art cum laude in 2007.

In addition to her current portfolio of art making, academic management, teaching, supervision and research, Louise has art teaching experience at high school and adult education levels. She is an experienced facilitator, having worked in the development facilitation context in KwaZulu-Natal.
