Just 10 minutes from the Central Business District in Cape Town, is a peaceful haven. Set in the Oude Molen Eco Village, the Riverlodge Backpackers offers 4 bed dormitories, but also provides en-suite twin, double and family rooms. This is an incredibly reasonable way to visit the Mother City.
Bedding is percale cotton, there is WiFi and work stations, a fully equipped communal kitchen, colourful dining area with braai facilities and a fire pit. A cosy fireplace warms the lounge in winter with areas for television watching and a licensed pub. Rooms are serviced daily.
If you are driving, there is secure parking but you can park and leave the car here as you use the lodge’s shuttle service to any option in the city: V&A, city centre, Seapoint, Table Mountain etc. This is a huge plus in a city where seasonal traffic and parking is a headache.
