This is a superb base from which to hike and there are well marked routes. Situated on a large private farm with unspoilt wilderness and mountains surrounding you, it is a wonderful place to simply relax too. You may be visited by a bush buck, see a herd of eland in the valley and hear the raptors calling as they swirl above you.
All accommodation is self catering with gas stoves and braai facilities. Limited WiFi in the central area where there is a communal lounge, a fire pit under the stars as well as a communal kitchen. A swimming pool with spectacular view invites in Summer but the forested mountain ravines have beautiful crystal clear streams to dip in, too.
Accommodation is varied in this small camp and all power is solar or wind generated. There are lovely private chalets, a bungalow, rondawels, A Frames which are en-suite and A Frames which share communal facilities and ablutions. Our photos show chalets, rondawels and A frames en suite.
Some of the most famous Berg hikes are on your doorstep, there is San Rock Art caves and an interesting rock carving near to camp.
