Overlooking the confluence of the uMngeni and Rietspruit rivers, as well as neighbouring uMngeni Valley Nature Reserve, you’ll be mesmerised by long grasses swaying in the gentle breeze, sightings of an antelope or two, picturesque vistas across the valley and continual bird song. This is a restful yet invigorating place to be – it’s Africa at its best.
The Hilton Bush Lodge, a contemporary bush lodge, designed to remain in harmony with the untouched, 40-something hectares of bushveld. It is a blend of picturesque country setting with state-of-the-art facilities and well-appointed comfortable accommodation. It is self catering but we do offer a two-course dinner between 18h00 and 20h30 (Monday to Thursday) at R 185.00 per person. Booking for dinners must be made by midday. There are also many restaurants around.
Luxury Suites have fully fitted kitchens and a scullery area (dishwasher and washing machine). Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom (only the Luxury Suites and Superior Rooms have a bath and shower). All rooms have a limited DSTV selection (including Sports channels). There is a seating and dining area in the Luxury Suites.
A boma with fire allows guests to relax under a jewelled African sky.
We offer a Full English Breakfast (Monday to Friday, between 07h00 and 09h00) along with Cereals, Yoghurt, Fresh Fruit, Fruit Juice, Toast, and Preserves.
Guests can enjoy relaxing at the pool (swimming towels to be collected from reception), bird watching from their private deck, and a walk to the top of the Rietspruit Falls.
It is a beautiful spot and you never know what wildlife you may see when driving or hiking.
