Situated in the beautiful Overberg region, Greyton is home to the charming Post House.
The Post House was originally constructed in 1860 and is one of the oldest buildings in Greyton. The main building was used as a trading post and lodging for tired travellers. The Post House country pub, which is well known for the Bells whiskey advert, was also once Greyton’s post office. It was proclaimed a National Monument on 28 December 1993.
Janet and John bought the Post House in 2018 and began refurbishing keeping the country feel, to create a luxurious boutique hotel with exceptional service. With cosy fireplaces and a lovely pool for summer, this is a year round getaway spot.
There are King size or twin beds plus luxurious linen and towels. Freshly ground filter coffee and tea, home-made biscuits, complimentary waters and Charlotte Rhys products in the bathrooms add special touches. Individually controlled heating/ cooling air systems, electric blankets for winter, room safes, mini fridges, WiFi and hairdryers are available in all rooms. There is also a toaster and basic cutlery and crockery. Rooms are serviced daily.
The Honeymoon and Classic Suites have showers and copper rimmed Victorian style spa baths, fireplaces in their own lounges and private patios.
De Lux Suites have garden views and patio seating, free standing Victorian baths plus a shower.
The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Family Suite has a microwave, showers over the baths and a private patio.
Situated in the heart of Greyton, exploring this charming, tranquil town on foot from the hotel, is easy.
There is off street parking. Pets may be possible by prior arrangement. Good coffee and delicious treats are on site as well as a restaurant.
