Less than fifteen minutes from the CBD of Pietermaritzburg, the Victoria Country Club is superbly located in the scenic parklands adjoining the Queen Elizabeth Nature Reserve, and above all, boasts one of South Africa’s most picturesque golfing venues. The Golf Course is a par 71 course measuring 6156 meters. The course was reopened after an upgrade in April 2007, having been remodeled by Golf Data, one of South Africa’s leading golf course design and construction companies. The upgrade included the total reshaping and reconstruction, to USGA specification. Extensive storage dams were added creating, impressive and attractive waterholes. The course is now rated in the top 10 in KZN and is able to offer a world-class golfing experience all year round.
For those who want a change from golf, or for members of the family who are not golfers, there are also floodlit tennis courts, squash courts and a lovely outdoor pool to relax next to.
In the Club House, linger in Reggie’s Bar. With its spacious veranda, overlooking the golf course and 100 hectares of lush, hilly landscape you can enjoy the picturesque vista while you relax and enjoy a drink or a snack. For the avid sports fan, televised matches can be viewed on the big screens with popular events creating a buzzing atmosphere full of good cheer.
