MOTH Museum of Militaria
Displaying many hundreds of Artifacts from around the World, and spanning hundreds of years, this is a very interesting place to visit. It houses a large collection of medals, badges and sidearms as well as the insignia of over 500 “Shellholes”, these being the Individual Units, of the Order.
This museum is run by volunteer MOTHs (Memorable Order of Tin Hats, the name given to those who have served). This Military Museum and M.O.T.H. Shrine was Built in 1936 and focuses on South African involvement in the two World Wars. It has Military Artifacts dating back to 1056 and the stones embedded in the building come from battlefields around the world. There is a comprehensive collection of battlefield relics, photos and uniforms on display.
