9th Avenue Waterside has continued to remain at the forefront of the Durban dining scene since its inception in 2001, consistently winning awards and remaining ranked among the top restaurants in the country. The relatively new setting is simply stunning, overlooking the yacht mole.
9th Avenue showcases fresh locally sourced seasonal cuisine. All dishes are exquisitely presented, from modern interpretations of Bistro classics to cutting edge gastronomy. The menu is constantly evolving and diners are encouraged to try the tasting menu. There is a menu for vegans as well as the regular menu.
The wine list changes regularly and concentrates on smaller boutique wineries offering some of SA’s finest, as well as many affordable options. The wine list also offers a limited selection of international wines and locally sourced micro brewed beers. Every few months’ 9th Avenue hosts set menu dinners paired with leading wine estates from SA and abroad.
The restaurant’s executive chef/patron Graham Neilson & his wife Gina’s mission is to create a modern, warm and unpretentious venue in the heart of the yacht mole, Durban, serving fresh and creative cuisine with an emphasis on high quality seasonal ingredients.
