La Lampara has built a solid and reliable reputation. The setting is superb with beautiful gardens and a romantic, rustic ambiance.
There is a feel about Italy here as you walk around. They serve traditional Italian food. Many ingredients come from the garden and their lovely roses fill the restaurant in Summer. Spring brings gorgeous cherry and other blossoms. Delicious Limoncello is made from their own lemons. This husband and wife lead team know how to make guests feel at home. Eating can be indoor or out, depending on the weather.
The menu changes regularly with traditional food including calamari with chorizo, gnocchi, spaghetti with a superb selection of seafood, butternut, risotto and herb filled pasta with a yellow tomato and cream sauce, carpaccio, wonderful oxtail, malfatti, veal escalope and various risottos. There may also be sardines served Portuguese style, short rib with an Asian influence, fillet with pesto, avo and rocket and wonderful fresh Norwegian salmon or quail in a butter sauce. With many meals benefiting from the pizza oven, there are also delicious pizzas.

There is ONLY one downside to this lovely restaurant…it is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On Thursday to Saturday…closed between 14.30 and 18.00.
