Spice Restaurant was born in April 2003 in Florida Road, Durban. After 5 years, Russell and Linda Burger moved with their loyal customers to a grand old house in Windermere Road. In 2014 they made their final move to be closer to their home in Westbrook on the beautiful North Coast.
Spice Restaurant has a prime beach front position and it is not just another Indian restaurant. The Indo/continental fusion food is inspired by their travels to India, New Zealand, Europe and the Caribbean, as well as their respective cultures. Spice “caters for all lovers of spice. Enjoy a lazy lunch on the deck and tuck into dishes such as the boneless lamb curry or prawn-stuffed chicken balti with a mild curry cream” Eat Out. It is genuinely fusion with other choices such as trout with mango, coriander and beacon stuffing. There is a roast vegetable crepe with “vegetables roasted in sesame oil and draped with a blue cheese sauce.” Dining Out.
Russell manages the Front of House and Linda is at the helm of the kitchen.
