Christo is a top shark handler, an avid marine conservationist, a very experienced skipper and he spearheads the operation in Mossel Bay.

Our Boat is a motor cat custom built for shark cage diving. The boat has a large viewing platform on top, space on the main deck for seating and viewing and is equipped with toilet facilities.

Our Diving and Viewing trips are wonderfully educational, enriching both mind and soul.

Mossel Bay is full of diverse sea life and we have an 84% success rate of seeing great Whites. The water here is a little calmer than bays further south, making it an ideal spot for viewing and photographs.

In season, from June to November, this area is superbly suited to view whales. Four species are seen, of which Southern Right Whales are the most commonly sighted when they come into Mossel Bay to calve. There are also Humpback, Bryde’s and Killer Whales frequenting the route

Schools of up to 500 dolphins make a spectacular sight and can often be seen at play here. The most common dolphins found all year are Heaviside’s Dolphin, Common Dolphin, Dusky Dolphin and Bottlenose Dolphin.

Join us for a fascinating trip to view and better understand the Great White in its home environment.

A typical trip:

Enjoy coffee, and chat to our staff before the safety and boat trip briefing.

The trip from the dock to the shark site is only about ten minutes. In fact, Mossel Bay has the most accessible white sharks in the world.

To find the sharks we have to bait and chum with natural marine products. It can take several minutes or several hours for the first shark to appear and while we enjoy a high success rate, you need to understand that nothing is guaranteed.

Once we have sharks at the boat, the cage will go into the water and the diving will begin. Topside viewing is exciting for the non-diver as the shark works very close to the surface and you have plenty of opportunity for action shots.

Trips generally last for +- four hours and we offer a light lunch, snacks and drinks on the boat. There is plenty of opportunity to chat to our staff and ask questions.  Upon return to the dock, we offer afternoon tea and guests receive a certificate.
